Abigail’s Party invite to the Wyndham’s Theatre

 Mike Leigh’s Abigail’s Party replaces The King’s Speech will come into the Wyndham’s Theatre in London’s from 15 May.  Starring Jill Halfpenny (EastEnders) as Beverly Moss – the hostess from hell famously played by Alison Steadman on TV – transfers from Bath’s Theatre Royal

The satire on the aspirations of the 1970s British middle class. Set at a suburban dinner party, which slowly unravels, Abigail’s Party was written by Mike Leigh for stage and screen in 1977 and is perhaps his best-known comedy.

Other stand-out members of the cast include Joe Absolom who plays Tony, Natalie Casey as Angela and Susannah Harker as Sue.
